This is a conceptual ark. Contained in the gel of the Petri dishes is a tiny transparency, “Two of each animal – clean and unclean – went with Noah onto the ark.” Gen 7:19. I selected my animals from The Web of Life - Catalogue of Living Things.
God's covenant with Noah: “I do set my bow in the cloud.” Gen 9:13. The colours of the Ark are a reference to the symbol of God's promise that a flood will never again destroy all living beings.
It is not the purpose of this ark to either reinforce or dispute the bible story of Noah's Ark in Genesis. It is a modern interpretation of the Noah's Ark legend.
